Chandler Team IX
The Ascension organization consists of the Tier 1 team and four Tier 2 affiliates. The tier 2 teams
compete in the Arizona Tier 2 League against each other and the two other local Tier 2 VLA teams: Phoenix Valor and Arizona Kings
Team IX started off their season with a bang by going undefeated during the West Coast Cup and taking home the trophy
They won a thrilling semifinals match with a reverse sweep against the Villains out of Nashville and finished off the cup with a clean three set sweep of the Dallas Dawgs. Captain Tyler Gardenhire (S) won tournament MVP. Also named to the All Tournament team were middle blocker Treven Clizbe and libero Jesus Izaguirre
