Sun City Team IX
The Ascension organization consists of the Tier 1 team and three Tier 2 affiliates. This fall all four teams will be playing
locally against each other and the other two Tier 2 teams from Phoenix: Phoenix Valor and the Gilbert Ducks. The teams will also be playing a handful
of exhibition matches against 18s teams from Rush Volleyball Club
Team IX started off their 2025 season even better than last year by defending their West Coast Cup title and taking home the trophy for the second consecutive year
Much like last year, they won in dramatic fashion by taking care of Rising Tide in 5 sets and then reverse sweeping the Dallas Dawgs, winning the 5th set by the narrowest of margins: 15-13. They again had numerous players named to the All Tournament team: outside hitter Charles Pollnow, middle blocker Xander Thesz, and libero Peter Peck
